What exactly is “reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis, otherwise known as hyperfiltration is the finest filtration known. The process of reverse osmosis is used to purify water and to remove salts and impurities in the water in order to improve the colour and taste of the water.
The reverse osmosis process uses a membrane that is semi-permeable and it allows the water to be passed through the membrane. The membrane “cleans” the water…and the good water stays on one side of the membrane while the water passing through to the other side is rejected and swept away down a drain. This process is done under pressure. |
